News 29er Week at Red Planet: The 29er revolution is huge in the US, slow to take off in the UK it is now moving from underground to mainstream. We've always supplied 29ers so there is a good chance if one flew past you on the Ridgeway we built it but it won't have been that often. These days its is much more common , with more choice of Rigs from basic rigid steel, to fully suspended carbon. Last week we finished off these two very different beauties, both custom builds for customers:
The Salsa is a Selma scandium/carbon mix with rigid forks and single speed 22lbs complete and stunning to look at. The Santa Cruz is a carbon TallBoy with Fox Talas 29er forks (2011 with kashima coated legs), well worth a few photos while both were in the shop together. Incidentally we also built a rohloff rear wheel for the Selma as the owner is prone to long distance epic off road tours in the Alps.
